Chris Seaton, Mediation Expert

Our own Chris Seaton has featured this week in an article in the Bognor Regis Observer, "First Person Singular"

Chris gives an interview to Observer writer, Carl Eldridge, about his career in mediation and his work in schools.  He says "I am passionate about social justice and sustainable peace and in search of this I have travelled to places of conflict like Bosnia, Belfast, South Africa, Angola and Albania."  Chris has worked for many years to promote peace and engage as many people as possible in mediation, especially the young, where he believes we can make the most difference.  "Some of the most rewarding work I have been part of has come in schools.  Peer mediation is a conflict resolution technique that trains school children as volunteer mediators to work with their peers. .... To date, we have reached more than 20,000 children, 600 school teachers and partnered with over 70 schools through the skills and message of peer mediation".
