Peaceworks was formed in 1999 and registered as a charity in 2000 by its founding directors Chris Seaton and Micha Jazz. The Peaceworks team consists of skilled and motivated people from a variety of backgrounds who enable us to offer a wide range of services including; lawyers, business people, school teachers, organisational consultants and health care professionals. As a social enterprise we are also supported by a network of volunteers who enable us to achieve our objectives.
Since its foundation, Peaceworks has worked in three core areas; mediation, schools and peace projects. As you will see from our site, we also have a wide range of interests in the field of peace issues. Inspired and informed by Christian principles, we are dedicated to excellence in all we do. The hallmark of our work is a combination of high standards of service and exceptional value for money.
What spurs us on is a passion for peace and reconciliation. We want to see adults, children, families, and whole communities building peace, and working effectively without the negative impacts of unresolved conflict. In all our work, we seek to equip and empower people with life skills that help them resolve their own conflicts.

Peaceworks is an incorporated trust. This means that we operate as a social enterprise being both a Registered Company (No. 07004687) and a Registered Charity (No. 1132019). The charity element is primarily about the educational work we do and means that all surpluses from our commercial activities are ploughed into work that is less remunerative.
